Sample History Video from the Duquesne
University Interactive CD-ROM
This
sample video was created to be included on the Duquesne
University CD-ROM. While the final result is a simple 3-minute
video, an extreme amount of preparation and work was done
to create this piece. First, a script was written
that included key highlights in Duquesne's history. The
script was then taken to Dennis Woytek, a professor in
the multimedia department with a distinguished radio
voice, who volunteered to read and record the script. The
music department generously submitted several recorded
works by the Duquesne choir. An appropriate song was selected
and sampled to create the background which appropriately
crescendos during the transition from past to present.
Various images were pulled from the University archives
which were scanned and retouched. Each of the elements
was meticulously synchronized in Adobe Premier, and the
end result was optimized for playback on CD-ROM.
